“This is your club, and your involvement is a vital ingredient to the success of us all”

We are the brink of a new season, one that we wish is concluded in perfect fashion, but unfortunately, our world is in a degree of uncertainty.

Change is happening within your club at all levels. At a committee level, we have made some changes that I believe will give a greater youth section focus, with Craig Gilbert taking on the Vice-Chair role and Lewis Pike joining us on the committee.

This is one club, and we want to be considered progressive and inclusive. The support that the first team received from the club and the village for the FA Vase, was extraordinary. When the senior season starts, please do come along en masse and get behind the lads.

Our brand new Under 7’s share a manager with the first team, as Carl Withers is working with them. It’s this type of progression and inclusivity that makes a difference.

We will invest in our youth coaches to assist in making constant improvements to skills and knowledge.

Bottom line is, this is your club, and your involvement is a vital ingredient to the success of us all. Let’s join in, and be a part of something really special.

Come on you Moles!
Bob

Binfield FC launch 2021/22 kits

Binfield Football Club has revealed its new strips for the 2021/22 season in the Pitching In Isthmian League.

The Moles will play at the highest level the club has competed at over the next year and enjoy derby matches against cross-town rivals Bracknell Town as well as West Berkshire neighbours Thatcham Town.

The strips remain all red for home, and all white as away – in keeping with the kits used on the clubs run to the FA Vase Final in May – and bear the sponsor Apex Financial Services, the business run by former player Matt Jones.

Club secretary Rob Challis has confirmed replica shirts would be available if there was a good amount of interest. You can register yours using the form below:

Wembley Moles thanks to Recycled Products Ltd

When Binfield Football Club walked out at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 22nd May it was a proud day for not only the club but some of their long-serving supporters.

Recycled Products was one of those long time supporters and the companies name and logo were visible to anyone tuning in on BT Sport on the day thanks to the sponsorship of Binfield’s matchday polo shirts and walkout tops the team wore for the national anthem.

Stalwart Mole Bobby Ellis is a senior manager with the company, founded in 2001 and has been a crucial member of the club on and off the pitch for decades.

He’s played, managed and been a driving force at the club where he was voted the area’s Volunteer of the Year in 2019.

They did it! Binfield volunteers complete charity trek

We never had any doubt, but Binfield FC volunteers Caroline Reed, Denise Weait and Lisa Peters completed their mammoth 100km London to Brighton walk last weekend.

AND the trio raised £3,650 Cancer Research in the process with donations still open.

Lisa said: “A huge thank you to everyone from the club that sponsored us.

“When we saw the Mole’s donation on Saturday, it was a massive boost, and really helped us to carry on.

“We are feeling very loved!”

Binfield chairman offers thanks to village support

On Sunday evening, Binfield Football Club chairman Bob Bacon wrote a short post to the village on the Facebook group We Love Binfield – where an awful lot of love and support for the team has been posted in the last few weeks.

Bob writes:

Thank you all for your support of the football club yesterday at Wembley.

As Chairman, I’m honoured to be a part of a great community who have shown nothing but undying support for a great group of players and staff.

Sorry we couldn’t bring a cup back with us, but we have memories galore that continue to lift spirits and give us hope.

Proud of the lot of you.

Thank you.

There is no break for the club though, work now starts in earnest on preparations for the new season that will see the Moles play at their highest ever level in the Isthmian League South Central Division One alongside Berkshire neighbours Bracknell Town and Thatcham Town as well as nearby Basingstoke Town and Marlow with an overseas away day to Guernsey thrown in for good measure.

If you would like to stay in touch with what is happening at the club over the summer, get involved or just find out when the next game will be, then you might like to sign up to any or all of the following:

Where to watch the FA Vase Final if you aren’t heading to Wembley

You might have heard, the Moles are headed to Wembley on Saturday!

There are plenty of reasons why you might not be able to get to London to watch the game though, but that doesn’t mean you need to miss out on the atmosphere and action as Binfield face Warrington Rylands in a 12:15pm kick-off.

For a start, the Parish Council have published details of how you can wave the team off on their website.

But what about after that? Well the match is live on BT Sport – no word yet if it will be free to air or not – but the best places arguably to watch the game will be in one of the villages pubs.

Victoria Arms

The Terrace Road North pub will be showing the game inside the pub and in the garden marquee.

What they said: Good luck for Saturday boys! We will see you when you bring the trophy home

Binfield Club

The Binfield Club on the Terrace Road / Forest Road roundabout will be showing the game this Saturday. They have 5 screens plus a new 65″ TV to enjoy the game. Visitors welcome with a member. Cheapest pint in the village!

There is a bigger list from further afield on the Football in Berkshire website here.

Please note, Binfield FOOTBALL Club will not be open for the game. Club secretary Rob Challis said: “We are not opening the football club until after the game so please support the Binfield Club and the Victoria Arms.
