The Moles U18s Allied team responded well to last week’s disappointing result and with the 2-1 win last night against Wokingham Town U18s, they are still in title race, although they need a couple of results elsewhere to bring it down to our last game of season v Reading City.
The team went 1 nil up a few mins before half time with Adam Cowley who followed up on a Matt Tweed shot. They went back out in the 2nd half and extended their lead through Ellis Smith – a strike from outside of box. They should have been 3 up soon after but they hit the bar.
The game changed when they gifted a goal to Wokingham which made the last 25 minutes hard work with the team missing an open goal and a Will Braver clearance off of the line.
The team move onto the Subsidiary Cup of 4 games at the Iconic Stadium on Thursday 27th which will see the appearance of some of the U16s in preparation for next season.
