Binfield FC are delighted to announce the signing of young forward Ethan Lindo.
Lindo, aged 18, played on Saturday in the Moles’ 2-1 Isthmian League defeat to Guernsey. He scored Binfield’s only goal in the match with a powerful effort across the Guernsey goalkeeper.
Speaking to club media for the first time, Lindo said “It was a privilege to be asked to sign for Binfield as I was aware of the heritage of the club and opportunity to play senior men’s football in a key position is a real honour.“
Lindo, admits he is “delighted” to be joining up with Ross Weatherstone (who joined the club last week) as the pair have worked together at Ross’ IDFA. He added : “I took the opportunity to join “Rosco” at the beginning of season as his academy IDFA run by himself and Andy Hunt, they specialise in developing young players in a professional full time academy programme. Under his coaching I have grown in confidence as a footballer and believe in ‘the process’. His positivity was key in my decision to join the club under his leadership.”
Speaking about his debut goal, Ethan said “I am obviously delighted to score on my debut. It was my first senior men’s goal however I was disappointed that we couldn’t get a couple more to help the team with a home win! I will be trying my hardest to help the team by scoring as many goals as I can and will continue to work hard for team, coaches and supporters for the remaining part of the 23/24 season.”
