The Moles travelled to Imber Court to play the Met Police with both teams were sitting not too far from the relegation zone.
They took an early lead when Ethan Lindo slotted the ball past the Met Police keeper in the 8th minute. After 26 minutes the lead was doubled when Luke Wayborn’s long throw eventually found Connor Jeanes who puts it back over the top for Razhir Smith-Jones who finishes into the far corner – and that is how the first half finished.
Met Police must have had some team talk at half time as they pulled one back after only 2 minutes in to the half. They thought they had equalised late in the game when they had the ball in the back of the net but after a long discussed, the officials ruled the goal offside.
An important win for the Moles which now puts them 10 points clear of the relegation zone with 6 games left – but more importantly, there are three teams between them and 19th place.
The Moles are back at the Iconic Stadium when they welcome Rayners Lane hoping to get revenge for the 5-2 defeat a couple of weeks ago.
