The Moles were on the road with a tough midweek tie against promotion chasing Hartley Wintney. The Moles took an early lead with a shot from outside the box from Rechan Espirit. They could have had several more in the first half with a couple of shots hitting the post.
In the second half, Hartley thought they had scored but the officials ruled that the ball hadn’t crossed the line. The Moles sealed the win in the final minute when Ethan Lindo was fouled in the box and Razhir Smith-Jones converted the penalty.
The Moles jumped Southall in the table and are now 11 points above the relegation zone. They travel to Woking on Saturday to play Westfield – a team that are only 6 points and 3 positions above the Moles.
