Introducing: Sutton Common Rovers FC

Sutton Common Rovers

The Moles are back on the road with a trip to Carshalton to play Sutton Common Rovers FC.

Matchday: Friday 7th February. KO 8pm

Who are Sutton Common Rovers FC?

Sutton Common Rovers were founded in 1978 as Inrad F.C and went through several name changes before they settled on their current name. The club started playing Saturday League football in 2004-5 and progressed into the Combined Counties league in 2007. They narrowly missed promotion in their debut session but were promoted to the Premier Division the following year.

After finishing second in the league behind Chertsey Town, they were promoted to Isthmian league in 2021/22. This also coincided with them reaching the 2nd qualifying round of the FA Cup for the first time, losing a reply to Jersey Bulls.

So Far This Season

The Moles have played SCR back in October at the Iconic and came out 2-0 winners with both goals from Kickie Dzimba. The teams have met 8 times in recent seasons with the Moles winning five times, losing twice and with one draw

Sutton Common Rovers currently sit 19th in the league with 22 points and the Moles in 16th place on 28 points.
