Bracknell Football Club, originally known as Old Bracknell Wanderers, was established in 1896. They had a history of success in various leagues and competitions. They won the League Cup in 1908 and became league champions in 1912 and 1933. In 1949, the club changed its name and joined the Reading & District League before moving to the Great Western Combination in 1958. Over the years, they won several league titles and cups, including the League Cup in 1969 and 1975. They joined the Spartan League and had further success, winning the League Cup in 1981 and becoming Premier Division champions in 1983. The club later joined the Isthmian League and experienced promotions and relegations. They reached the first round of the FA Cup in 2000-01 and won multiple cups in the Hellenic League. Bracknell achieved promotion to the South Central Division of the Isthmian League in 2018 and were runners-up in the division the following season. They secured promotion to the Premier Division South of the Southern League in 2022 and had notable achievements in the FA Cup and various cup competitions during the 2022-23 season.
