On Friday night the Allieds won 2-1 in the Subsidiary Cup in front of a very good crowd. It was a great experience for the squad as we had 8 x U16 making their first step into Allieds and in total 10 x U16 playing.
The game was comfortable for the team as Eversley sat back in a block for the first half not creating and looking to catch us on break. We deservedly went ahead with an excellent strike from George Creech and 5 minutes later grabbed another taking us in 2 nil at halftime.
2nd half pretty much matched the 1st half missing a couple of clear chances to kill the game off. It all changed on 75 mins when we conceded a penalty which made the last 15 mins tense. Eversley won a 2nd penalty but that was overulled by the lino.
It was a deserved the win and for coaches, a great chance to see the next generation of the Allieds coming through… future looks good.
