The U18 Moles played Windsor & Etons U18s in an Allied Counties Youth Football League game. Windsor had the stronger start 1 nil up in first 20 minutes thanks to an excellent finish from Windsor striker
The young Moles created a few opportunities down our right flank with Adam Cowley but not at their normal levels and went in 1 nil down.
They came out with a better intensity to draw level through Adam Cowley who cut in from right and left footed finish. Windsor immediately went back down our end and from a corner slotted home. Mitch Woozley who came on as a sub got them back level with his 1st goal for Allieds.
The pressure built on Windsor with them having to substitute their keeper which then saw us take the lead for first time with 20 mins to go through Adam Cowley’s 2nd goal and Matt Tweed with 4th of the season.
By this time Windsor went down to 10 due to injury and having no substitutes left. The 5th goal went to Jack Salah our U16 goalkeeper but also our centre forward. Windsor hit the woodwork 3 times in the 2nd half and really made the team work for it
The team’s next game is away to Thatcham Town U18 on Monday 21st October. KO 7:45pm.
