Binfield Under 14 Reds faced Dynamo Tekkers at the Oratory School. The pitch was heavy, but with the conditions the same for both sides. The boys were reminded to work hard, help each other out and make sure they always gave the player on the ball some options. We explained to the players there would be plenty of mistakes on this pitch, how we dealt with those mistakes would define the result !
The Reds weathered the storm for the first 10 minutes with Tekkers putting us under pressure but then the Reds got into their groove and started playing some top quality passing Football.
Zach H scored our first goal to put us 1-0 up and from there the Reds grew into the game with further goals from Josh R and James G. We came in 3-1 up at half time.
The second half was much the same with the Reds working extremely hard and showing good discipline right across the pitch; our keeper, Danny M made some cracking saves, defence used great communication, the midfield battled hard to win the ball and create chances and our forwards were busy upfront and a handful for the Tekkers defence. James G scored twice in the second half sealing a 5-2 win for the Reds.
Every player played their part in this win, with Harry M getting parents’ MOTM and Callum H the coaches’ MOTM.
