Guernsey complte the league double over the Moles after Samual Murray’s 90th minute winner.
Just 10 days after the sides met previously, Binfield and Guernsey locked horns again at Hill Farm Lane. The Moles started brightly and took the lead on 10 minutes through Connor Holland. Brad Pagliaroli slid in Holland who ran around the keeper and slotted it under the recovering Guernsey defenders.
Binfield controlled the majority of the first half and exploited the Guernsey high line. Conor Lynch got through a couple of times but both times the recovering Guernsey defence did well and he couldn’t find the target with the latter.
Guernsey had a couple of good chances to level proceedings in the first half but Harvey Rackley-Hayes palmed both away for corners. Binfield then had a great chance to go two ahead heading into the break when Harrison Bayley’s effort looked destined for the top corner but a top-quality save from Joshua Addison tipped the ball over the bar.
The Moles started the second half as they finished the first with Brad Pagliaroli hitting the bar from the edge of the box. Binfield debutant Steve Ngunga then put in a great cross but Liam Gavin couldn’t get his shot away.
Guernsey’s equaliser came on the hour mark when a great free kick was met by Ross Allen and his volley found the top left corner. The game then became stretched with Binfield who were looking to gain all three points for the first time in 4 games but Guernsey always looked dangerous on the counter attack.
Their winner came in the 90th minute, when Samual Murray dispossessed Rackley-Hayes and ran the ball into the empty net.
The Moles are back at Hill Farm Lane on Saturday against Westfield looking to turn this difficult patch of form around!
