A late show for Binfield’s men’s First Team this week as Brad Pagliaroli sealed a second three points in a row from the penalty spot in the 90th minute against Leatherhead.

Connor Holland had put the Moles ahead after 4 minutes of the Isthmian League South Central Division One tie but Maxwell Mullins pegged them back on 23 minutes.

On the hour the Moles were in a bit of trouble as goalkeeper Chris Grace was forced off, replaced by Zakaria Abdulhadi in the sticks.

There was a second debut for Harrison Bayley in the game but fellow new signing Will Shaw remained an unused sub for the tie that became a sea of red in the final moments following Pagliaroli’s spot kick as Leatherhead’s Oluwafikay Atewologun and Samir Bajja were both sent off.

Binfield under 23s remain top of the Thames Valley Premier League Division Three but lost their first game of the season at Burghfield Reserves in the First Round of the Berkshire Trophy Centre Intermediate Cup.

The young Moles were up against a side a division above them and a couple of experienced faces in the cup tie including former Thatcham Town full-back Paul Taplin as well as much travelled forward Lorenzo Medford so shouldn’t be too down-hearted at a 1-0 defeat.

There was no game again this week for the Allied Counties Moles who’ll resume their campaign this week.

What’s coming up for Binfield this week?

Speaking of which, the Allied’s are finally back in action on Thursday night as they host Frimley Green at Hill Farm Lane.

There’s further midweek action on Monday night as the men’s First Team welcome Sutton Common Rovers for a Velocity Trophy Third Round tie. There’s a preview for that here and tickets can be bought in advance here.

To the weekend and on Saturday the u23s are off to AFC Winkfield Reserves in the TVPL Division Three while the First Team travel to Chipstead in Surrey for a 3pm kick off in the Isthmian League.
