Matchday: Tuesday 14th January 2025. KO: 7:45pm
Who are Aylesbury Vale Dynamos FC?
The club originated in the 1930s as Negretti and Zambra, serving as a works team for the Negretti and Zambra company in London. Following the company’s relocation to Aylesbury in 1949, the club joined the Aylesbury & District League in 1954 after the establishment of sports facilities. As time progressed, the club transitioned to the Wycombe & District League and eventually reached Division One of the Chiltonian League in 1988, finishing as runners-up in 1989–90, which led to their promotion to the Premier Division. The club achieved notable success during this period, including winning the Wycombe Senior Cup in 1995 and securing runner-up positions in both their initial Premier Division season and again in 1996–97.
In 2000, after a league merger, the club opted to join Division One of the Spartan South Midlands League and merged with Belgrave F.C., adopting the name Haywood United. The club continued to progress, finishing as runners-up in Division Two during the 2001–02 season and winning the Division One title in 2003–04, which earned them promotion to the Premier Division. Renamed Aylesbury in 2005, they won the Premier Division title in their first season and later qualified for promotion play-offs in 2014–15. However, after a challenging 2018–19 season that resulted in relegation due to regulatory issues, they merged with Bedgrove Dynamos and became Aylesbury Vale Dynamos.
