It’s been a tough few months for Moles striker, Tyler D’Cruz, since signing for the club in December. Tyler’s life for the Moles started with a bang thanks to two goals in his first three appearances for the club before being forced off with a devastating injury when we faced Met Police at Imber Court.
Tyler, 26, spoke to ‘Moley’ about his return to action as his goal levelled things up for The Moles after 22 minutes in last weekend’s 3-2 defeat away to Thatcham Town.
“It’s crazy to think I’m back on the pitch so soon and as a credit to everyone that has helped over the last few weeks to get me back out on the pitch.”
Tyler spoke about the feeling of scoring that goal, after an extended spell on the sidelines. “Obviously scoring that goal is a little bit more special than any other goal I think because of the of the circumstances so it felt really good to get my name back on the scoresheet.”
Tyler made his debut for the club in December, and was well aware of the task ahead of him when he signed for the club, “When I came in and spoke to Rosco (Ross Weatherstone), I knew what it was going to be like I knew it was going to be hard, and we’re getting there. After that Met Police game, we’re building and building and building each game and in the changing room we all believe, and I think the belief is the biggest thing.”
Speaking about the importance of the next two weeks, Tyler is under no illusions how important the upcoming games are for the rest of the season, “It’s going to be huge, but we’re all looking forward to it and then take every game as it comes.”
