Sarnies Hit Six Against The Moles

If Saturday’s game against Bognor Regis Town was the Moles’ best performance of the season, then today’s game against Egham Town will go down as their worst.

We all know Egham are a big, physical team, and the Moles simply couldn’t compete. Egham were first to every ball, closed down every attack and put the Moles under pressure at every opportunity. By contrast, the Moles struggled to get anything going and just couldn’t handle their opponents.

Egham went into the break 3-0 up, leaving Moles fans fearing things could get a lot worse before the final whistle. Egham added a fourth before the Moles pulled one back through a bullet of a shot from Quincy Patterson. Egham scored another two, while Gabe Olla marked his debut for the club with a goal, dinking the ball over the advancing Egham keeper.

Honestly, this is one to put behind us as quickly as possible, with a crucial six-pointer against Littlehampton Town coming up on Saturday.
