The Moles Got Rocked

The Moles travelled down to a sunny south coast to play Bognor Regis Town for the final game of the season with both teams had nothing to play for but pride. Binfield were forced into a number of changes due to players being unavailable for a variety of reasons.

Bognor took the lead with a goal from Callum Barlow in the 10th minute and doubled it when Callum Laycock lobbed Moles keeper CJ Fubler in the 15th minute. The Moles managed to get back into the game and although they struggled to get any shots on target, they did prevent any more goals going in before half-time.

In the second half, some heroic saves from CJ kept the score down until the 81st minute when Bognor broke away after a foul on a Moles player and Finley Chadwick got their 3rd. Captain Dan Lewis thought he had got one back with a header only for it to be flagged offside.

After the game, Moles manager Ross Weatherstone reflected; “What a following from the Moles on the South Coast today. Thank you to you all that made the trip. Not the result or way we wanted to end the season BUT thank you to everyone that has supported me, my management team & all the players. Up the Moles.”

And that wrap up the season for the Moles – 50 competitive game and their 5th at step 4. We hope you all have a good summer and see you in August for the start of the 2026/27 season…
