Moles Beat The Vale

On paper, this was always going to be a tough one for the Moles – an away game against a team in 3rd place who beat them 3-0 earlier in the season and with no away win since the end of August.

The Moles were kicking down the slope in the first half but it was a half with few real chances and finished goalless. The Moles thought they had taken the lead in the 70th minute when debutant Lamin Cessay put an Amari Fashnau cross in the back of the net – only for it to be ruled offside. Amari corrected this 3 minutes later when he score from a tight angle.

Both keepers pulled off a number of saves to keep the final score as 1-0 to the Moles – a moral boosting win before the international break.
