The Moles made the trip down to Portsmouth to play Moneyfields in some tough conditions due to the wind and rain from Storm Amy.
Kicking into the wind, the Moles had few chances in the first half. The best being a free kick from just outside the box but it went straight into the hands of Moneyfields keeper Malachi Osei-Owusu. The first half ended with no goals to either team.
Moneyfields broke the deadlock just five minutes into the second half when a deflected shot fell to Simba Mlambo in the box and he finishes well past the Moles keeper. The Moles came agonisingly close to scoring in the 72nd minute when the ball hit the post and ran along the goal line before being cleared by the Moneyfields keeper. Moles keeper CJ Fubler kept up his fine form of saving penalties when he saved one from Tayo Singerr who had been brought down in the box. However, Tayo managed to get his goal in the 87th minute of the game.
Another frustrating day at the office for the Moles, plenty of build up play down the wings but just unable to create the goal scoring opportunities.

The Moles have a break from league action when they welcomed National League South side Slough Town to the Iconic Stadium on Tuesday night for a Berks & Bucks Senior Cup game.
