FA CPD Session at Binfield FC

This morning, Binfield FC hosted an FA CPD session for our own coaches. Coaches could earn valuable CPD hours without travelling to another venue, and it was a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

What happened

The session, “How to deliver game related practices”, looked at how well-designed games can help players improve, and how to make training feel more like the real thing. Coaches also got on the pitch, tried things out and shared ideas with each other. Every coaching group is different, and these sessions go in the direction the room takes them.

What the coaches said

The feedback was brilliant:

“Just wanted to thank you for putting this on, Craig. It was great to hang out with other coaches to chat/play football. I think we all took a few tips and tricks away.”

“Thanks Craig, re iterate what Steve said. An informative, enjoyable morning.”

“Thanks for arranging Craig. Glad I did this. Very helpful information going forward.”

Thank you

A big thank you to Chris Berry from the Berks & Bucks FA for working with us to organise the session, and to Phil Stafford, the coach developer, for running it so well. Thanks also to every coach who gave up their Sunday morning to come along.

Want to come to the next one?

If you coach at Binfield FC and haven’t been to one of these yet, it’s a really good use of a few hours. You’ll pick up new ideas, count towards your CPD hours, and spend the morning with other coaches, all without leaving the club.

We’re planning to put on more sessions, so keep an eye on this page and our social channels for dates.
