Shinfield U15 3-2 Binfield Fire
With Fire already down the bare bones with injuries, a makeshift defence started the game strongly with Carters sweeper keeper role being extremely effective. With the wind behind the boys it was a ball over the top making their defence panic, resulting in the first penalty of the half, Oscar confidently slotting home to give us the lead.
In a half of limited chances it was another penalty that got Shinfield level, with their striker smashing it into the corner of the goal taking the game into half time at 1-1.
With the best move of the game it was Brad who put us back ahead following some great interplay between Sam, Karl and Oscar midway through the second half, firing into the corner of the goal.
Shinfield with the wind behind started to play more and more balls over the top, which eventually resulted in an equaliser through a very composed finish.
With Shinfield now on top it was a quick break resulting in the winner, breaking down the left it was a cross into the centre with the striker heading into the far corner of the goal.
The coaching team praised the effort of Olly and Luca for their effort in the heart of defence but Sam deservedly picking up Man of the Match for an all action display at right back.
