Following Government guidelines and classification from the FA, there will be no football played by Binfield FC from Thursday 5th November until Thursday 3rd December 2020. This includes all games and training.
The club will be fully compliant with guidelines issued to us by the UK Government and the FA, following the national lockdown that was announced last Saturday by the Prime Minister. Having stated this, these restrictions are subject to members of parliament voting on Wednesday 4th November 2020 (Any changes will be announced by the club).
The FA’s aim is to ensure that the 2020/21 season is completed at all non-elite levels.
This is a temporary lockdown that we all will be facing as a country, and it’s vital that we all work together too ensure we can beat the virus. Our main intentions as a club are to finish the season on a high and aim to give the boys a good run once the restrictions have been taken out of place.
The club acknowledges that as we enter another lockdown, it will bring a variety of different stresses and strains that we hoped we wouldn’t have to go through again, but as a club, we appreciate and salute those individuals on the front line of this pandemic, who are going more than the extra mile to ensure we are as safe as we can be.
Please do you part in this and attempt to be part of a solution to help rid us of this virus. Please keep an eye out on your friends, family, loved ones and immediate neighbours and help were you can. Check in on your friends and family on a regular basis, they may need your help and will always appreciate a call.
Stay safe, follow all the guidelines, and lets get through this!
Bob Bacon, Binfield FC Chairman.
