Binfield FC have made the decision to become fully cashless as of August 1st 2024. This is a monumental decision that has not been taken lightly and will be in effect for our upcoming FA Cup tie with Wokingham Town FC on Saturday 3rd August at 12:30pm.
Binfield FC is a community club that relies solely on its volunteers, due to this and bank branch closures around the UK, cash has become an unfeasible payment method to manage. We are unable to obtain denominations of change which impacts on our supporters when purchasing goods from our establishment.
Becoming a cashless club will allow us to streamline both our matchday and non-matchday experience and better serve our community. Last season we invested in a new point of sale system and the underlying technology to allow this to fully function with speed and ease. We have researched into how other football clubs of similar sizes have achieved this feat and believe we are now fully equipped to do the same.
