Binfield Colts U14 Secure Victory

Following a break in games due to the weather the Binfield Colts returned to action this morning and following a physical, battling game they secured a hard fought 2-1 victory over Ascot. With goals from Jay and Robert and several good saves from the Colts keeper Pacey.

The Man of the Match Award went to the whole team for a great team performance!

Binfield U13 Fire Earn Draw

Moor Mead 2-2 Binfield Fire

Fire twice came from behind to earn a draw but were unfortunate not to come away with a deserved win.

After falling behind to an early goal Fire were quick to reply with Alex brilliantly scoring from the edge of the box after a through ball by Lama.

Moor Mead scored again early in the second half but this didn’t deter Fire, this spurred them on.  Attack after attack we were getting closer before Sam whipped in a corner with William volleying in at the back post.

Fire continued to push for the winner with Erian hitting the cross bar, William just missing the goal with a long range shot and Sam having a shot well saved by the keeper.

The coaching team were proud of the effort of each and every member of the squad today.

Match Photos: South Park – Away

It is always tough travelling to away games but even tougher when the M25 is closed and the away game is in Reigate.

The Moles have a poor record away at South Park (Reigate) with only one point from three previous visits. It seemed this visit was going the same way when they went in at half-time 1-0 down and were quickly 3-0 down at the start of the second half. However, things changed around in the final 15 minutes of the game, thanks to some well timed substitutions.

The Moles scored three of the worse goals that you will ever see – they were all scrappy goals from point blank range but they all count. Despite the rally, they couldn’t find the winning goal and the match finished 3-3 draw. The goals came from a brace from Ethan Lindo and one from Tyler D’Cruz.

Next up is Hartley Wintney who are the visitors to the Iconic Stadium on Tuesday night, KO 7:45pm.

Photographer Daisy Spiers was in Reigate to capture the action.

Binfield U18 Allied Team Photo

U18 Allieds Beat Thatcham Town

The Moles U18 Allied side worked hard for a 1-0 over Thatcham Town with the bonus of a clean sheet.

The only goal was scored 2 minutes before half-time by Willem McCarthy setup by Zach Pascoe. Special mention to the back four Connor, Lewis, Rhys and Ollie with Euan Stiles GK pulling off a number of excellent saves .

Nice to get back to winning ways and importantly the performance was a big improvement on the last two games. This takes the team back to top of league though Penn and Reading have games in hand.

Who are South Park (Reigate) FC?

South Park Football Club was founded in 1897 and initially played on a sports field between Crescent and Church Roads. In 1925, the club formed a partnership with the local cricket club to create the South Park Sports Association, which aimed to improve athletic facilities for both clubs and the community. The association purchased land on Whitehall Lane, which became the permanent home of the club and was renamed “King George’s Field” in 1935. The club went through some tough times during and after World War II but rebounded with the help of donations and improved facilities, including a clubhouse and showers.

In 2001, the club merged with Reigate Town Football Club and renamed itself South Park & Reigate Town Football Club until 2003. The club has since undergone many renovations, gained promotion to higher divisions, and achieved success in various cup competitions. In recent years, the club has had several changes in management, including Harrison Williams taking charge in February 2022, and most recently, the club has renamed itself South Park Reigate in July 2022 to enhance its profile locally and in the wider football community. football pyramid before being promoted to Division One of the Combined Counties League in 2002-03. Match Photos: Billericay – Away

The Moles travelled to Essex to face Premier Division leader Billericay Town in the semi-final of the Velocity Cup.

They had a dream start when they took an early lead with a great finish from Tyler D’Cruz. Billericay quickly equalised and that is how the first half finish. The quality of Billericay showed in the second half and they scored three further goals to finish as 4-1 winners.

A great performance from the Moles against a strong Billericay. They now return to league action on Saturday and travel to South Park (Reigate).
