Sutton Common Rovers were founded in 1978 as Inrad F.C and went through several name changes before they settled on their current name. The club started playing Saturday League football in 2004-5 and progressed into the Combined Counties league in 2007. They narrowly missed promotion in their debut session but were promoted to the Premier Division the following year.
After finishing second in the league behind Chertsey Town, they were promoted to Isthmian league in 2021/22. This also coincided with them reaching the 2nd qualifying round of the FA Cup for the first time, losing a reply to Jersey Bulls.
Last season, the Moles lost the away game to SCR 4-1 whilst winning the home 2-0 in April. In the head to head, over the past three years, the Moles have won 4 games, SCR have won 2 with one game drawn.

Binfield U23s secured a convincing 9 – 0 victory over a depleted Fleet Spurs. A change of venue to the 3G at Kings due to a waterlogged Iconic Stadium didn’t impact the young Moles who made a fast start with goal straight from the kick off which set the tone for a dominant 1st half and a 3 – 0 lead at the interval.
Fresh legs were introduced through the second half and as Fleet tired further goals were added for a full time 9 – 0 scoreline.
Goals from: Matt Greenhough (2), Monty Brady (2 – 1 pen), and a goal each for Ewan Hammond, Connor Gonzalez, Jake Cooke, Joe Jacobs and Ellis Smith.
Next up for the lads is an away trip to Burghfield on 5th October – KO 2pm.

Following their 7-0 defeat to unbeaten league leaders Farnham Town, the Moles are hoping to bounce back when they travel to face Kingstonian FC.
Matchday: Saturday 28th September. KO 3pm
Kingstonian FC was formed in 1919 through the merger of Kingston Town FC and Old Kingstonians FC. However, the club’s origins can be traced back further to 1885 when one of its forerunners, Kingston & Surbiton YMCA FC, played its first match in Bushy Park. The club went through several name changes before splitting in 1908, with Kingston Town playing at Norbiton Sports Ground and Old Kingstonians on the “back pitch” at Richmond Road. The merged Kingstonian club started in the Athenian League, winning it in 1923/24 and 1925/26, before joining the Isthmian League in 1929.
In the 1930s, Kingstonian achieved its greatest accolade by winning the FA Amateur Cup in 1933, defeating Stockton in the final. The club won the Isthmian League again in 1933/34 and 1936/37. After a period of decline, Kingstonian bounced back in 1985 and were promoted to the Nationwide Conference in 1998. The club moved to their new Kingsmeadow Stadium in 1989 and enjoyed success in the late 1990s, winning the FA Trophy in 1999 and 2000. However, relegation followed in 2001, and the club has since had ups and downs, with several managers and ownership changes.
We cannot find any record of the two clubs playing each other – at least in recent history
Kingstonian are currently ground sharing with Raynes Park Vale.

Every season, English football comes together to promote Play Safe. It’s a year-round campaign that amplifies the importance of safeguarding across all levels of the game. Making sure football is safe, fun, and enjoyable for everyone, everywhere, every time.
Anyone’s love of football can be taken away by negative behaviour and abuse. Safeguarding prevents this from happening. A Play Safe weekend at the start of each season is there to put safeguarding at the forefront of people’s minds. It reminds everyone to watch, listen, talk, act in every football environment.
28/29 September 2024
The Play Safe Weekend comes around every year to celebrate our collective effort, support, and care.
For Play Safe 2024, we’re asking everyone to know their role in safeguarding.
This means no matter what role you have in football, you know your role and responsibility in making it a safe space for all.

After a big part of last season’s revival and a cameo appearance during pre-season, Glenn has returned for the rest of the season.
Glenn initially joined in Mar 2024 and played 8 games scoring 2 goals. He previously played for Thatcham where he scored 12 goals in 22 appearances. He also had a spell playing for Peterhead in the Scottish league.
We are pleased to welcome new signing Kickie Dzimba to the club. With a goal and an assist on his debut on Saturday against Hanworth Villa, he has got off to an amazing start.
Kickie joins the club from Uxbridge where he started the season. He joined from Holyport where he made seventeen appearances for the club during 21-22, and thirty six with eight goals during 22-23.
Binfield U15 Reds are hugely grateful to Target Site Services Limited for agreeing to sponsor the kit for this coming season. A massive thanks from the coaches and all the parents to Richard Frost and all at Target.
