Who are Dulwich Hamlet FC

Dulwich Hamlet Football Club, formed in 1893 by Lorraine ‘Pa’ Wilson, was a founding member of the Dulwich League in 1899, winning its inaugural championship. They later joined both the Isthmian League and Spartan League, achieving their first Isthmian League title in 1919–20, alongside an FA Amateur Cup victory. Throughout the 1920s and 1930s, Dulwich enjoyed significant success, winning three FA Amateur Cups and multiple Isthmian League titles. Their post-war achievements included a fourth league title in 1948–49, although the club faced relegations in later decades, bouncing between divisions.

In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, Dulwich saw mixed fortunes, with relegations, promotions, and several near misses in the promotion play-offs. The club returned to the Premier Division in 2012–13 and continued to challenge for promotion. In 2017–18, they achieved a notable promotion to the National League South after winning the play-off final. However, the 2022–23 season saw Dulwich Hamlet relegated back to the Isthmian League Premier Division.
