“It was a stressful afternoon…”

Thanks From Tyler D’Cruz

Almost a year ago to the day on January 20th 2024 during the league fixture between Met Police and Binfield FC, Tyler D’Cruz suffered a serious head injury which required urgent medical attention. As soon as the incident occurred he was attended to by an incredible team of medical personnel from both Binfield and Met Police, the level of care went far beyond the match and way into the night. If these people hadn’t done what they did that day, Tyler wouldn’t be able to be here for this moment.

During the recent visit of the Met Police to the Iconic Stadium, Tyler was reunited with Salil Das from Binfield and Megan Partington from Met Police, the physios from both teams who led his medical care and presented them with a token of his and the whole clubs appreciation.

Kitchen Vacancy

We’re looking for new people to expand our clubhouse kitchen rota on first team matchdays. This is an opportunity for anyone interested to join a wonderful team of people that help make our matchdays happen behind the scenes.

This role would be working as part of a rotation of cooking and/or serving refreshments to supporters during games and cooking/serving players and officials food after the match. We will need a minimum of 2 people in the kitchen per match day to carry out cooking/serving of food for our wonderful fans, players and visitors.

The rotation will be in effect for any Binfield FC first team home game, weekends and midweek games, but if you have a preference we’re always flexible. Life comes first!

If you or anyone you know would be interested please contact us to discuss further and answer any questions you may have. We can also happily give you a walkthrough in person at a home game if you’d like to see the kitchen in action.

After the disappointment of the New Years Day defeat and the postponement against Hayes, the Moles take on Aylesbury Vale Dynamos in the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup.

Matchday: Tuesday 14th January 2025. KO: 7:45pm

Who are Aylesbury Vale Dynamos FC?

The club originated in the 1930s as Negretti and Zambra, serving as a works team for the Negretti and Zambra company in London. Following the company’s relocation to Aylesbury in 1949, the club joined the Aylesbury & District League in 1954 after the establishment of sports facilities. As time progressed, the club transitioned to the Wycombe & District League and eventually reached Division One of the Chiltonian League in 1988, finishing as runners-up in 1989–90, which led to their promotion to the Premier Division. The club achieved notable success during this period, including winning the Wycombe Senior Cup in 1995 and securing runner-up positions in both their initial Premier Division season and again in 1996–97.

In 2000, after a league merger, the club opted to join Division One of the Spartan South Midlands League and merged with Belgrave F.C., adopting the name Haywood United. The club continued to progress, finishing as runners-up in Division Two during the 2001–02 season and winning the Division One title in 2003–04, which earned them promotion to the Premier Division. Renamed Aylesbury in 2005, they won the Premier Division title in their first season and later qualified for promotion play-offs in 2014–15. However, after a challenging 2018–19 season that resulted in relegation due to regulatory issues, they merged with Bedgrove Dynamos and became Aylesbury Vale Dynamos.

Cup Run So Far

In the first round of the cup, Aylesbury Vale Dynamos beat Abingdon United 2-1 away. In the 2nd round, they beat Newport Pagnell away 1-0 and in the 3rd round, they beat Marlow at home 2-1.

In the 3rd round, the Moles beat Maidenhead United 2-1 at home.

Fixture Updates

Due to the recent wet and cold weather, we have had to rearrange some of our upcoming fixures.

The Berks and Bucks FA Senior Cup tie against Aylesbury Vale Dynamos will now be played at the Iconic Stadium on Tuesday 14th January.

Which means that the away game against Hartley Wintney has now been moved to Tuesday 18th February.

We would like to thank both clubs, the Isthmian League and the County FA for their assistance in rearranging these fixtures.

Introducing: Moneyfields FC

Moneyfields Fc

After two postponements, the Moles travel down the A3 to play league newcomers Moneyfields FC.

Mathday: Saturday 11th January 2025. KO: 3pm

Who are Moneyfields FC?

The club began as Portsmouth Civil Service in the Portsmouth Saturday League in 1987, achieving significant success early on. In 1990–91, they won the Portsmouth Senior Cup and the Saturday League Premier Division, earning promotion to Division Three of the Hampshire League. The club continued its impressive run by winning the Portsmouth Senior Cup, Hampshire Intermediate Cup, and Division Three title the following season, securing promotion to Division Two. In 1992–93, they won Division Two, earning a third successive promotion to Division One of the Hampshire League, and in 1994, the club was renamed Moneyfields.

The club’s success continued with the Division One championship in 1996–97 and subsequent promotion to the Wessex League. They became members of Division One when the league merged with the Hampshire League in 2004, with the division being renamed the Premier Division in 2005. Moneyfields won the Portsmouth Senior Cup in 2012–132 and were Premier Division runners-up in 2016–17, earning promotion to the Southern League. After fluctuating between divisions and winning multiple Portsmouth Senior Cups, the club voluntarily relegated to the Wessex League Premier Division in 2021. Their persistence paid off in the 2023–24 season when they won the Premier Division title, securing promotion to the Isthmian League’s South Central Division.

Head To Head

We believe that this will be the first time the two clubs have played each other. In their last game out on New Years Day, the Moles lost 1-0 to local rivals Ascot. Moneyfields beat Ashford Town 5-1.
