U18 Allieds Season Ends With Defeat

The U18 Allieds season ended last night with a narrow 1-0 defeat to league champions Camberley at Hill Farm Lane.

U18s vs Camberley

Injuries and availability forced the Moles into several squad changes with captain Dan Snow also having to drop into CB. Despite the changes the team started well and dominated the first half but could not convert a series of good chances.

Camberley came out strong for second half and enjoyed a good spell before being reduced to 10 men following two late tackles. Despite enjoying some great possession the home side couldn’t find a way through and when we did were unable to convert. With 15 minutes left on the clock Binfield were also reduced to 10 men and the game became end to end.

In the 90th minute as Binfield looked to build quickly from the back Camberley won the ball with a tremendous tackle. Two passes later and the ball was in the back of the net for the only goal of the game.

Two very contrasting styles with Binfield having over 60% possession and completing 150 more passes. The one stat that counts is chances scored and Camberley edged that!

Congratulations to Camberley for showing great consistency throughout the season and for leading the way in terms of progressing players to 1st team football. Best of luck to all their Allied players involved in the 1st Teams Combined Counties relegation decider on Saturday.
