Moles Beaten By The Boro

The Moles travelled to North West London to face Harrow Borough for the second time in less than a month. That game finished 2-1 with Harrow winning with an injury time goal.

The Moles made one change to their starting lineup with Nathan Jones returning to replace Owen Smith with new signings Pedro Sami and Ethan Mosdell on the bench. However, during warm-up, Josh McMenenmy picked up an injury so Ethan Mosdell made his starting debut.

Things didn’t get much better for the Moles when, after just 6 minutes, they were forced into a change when Amari Fashnau went off injuried to be replaced by Quincy Patterson.

The Moles had plenty of chances in the first half but were unable to put anything past Borough keeper Tom Clark. At the other end, Moles keeper CJ wasn’t really troubled.

Harrow took the lead in the 57th minute when the ball fell to Keegan Cole who was unmarked at the back post and just tapped the ball in. Despite throwing everything at it, the Moles just couldn’t put the ball in the net.

After the game, Moles manager Ross Weatherstone said “A tough defeat that one! Harrow made their moment count & unfortunately for us, we couldn’t convert the bag full of chances we created! Credit to their GK who performed exceptionally. We won’t dwell on today, bring on Tuesday, where we will be ready to convert.”

Next up for the Moles is an away trip to Hartley Wintney on Tuesday 31st March KO 7:45pm.
