Points Shared With The Villians

Despite the scoreline this was no bore draw.

The two teams started the game at opposite ends of the table with Hanworth pushing for playoffs and Binfield trying to move away from the relegation zone. In recent games, the Moles had taken the scalp of other promotion chasing teams; Leatherhead and Hayes & Yeading.

On the pitch, you couldn’t tell the difference in league positions with a game of football that was end to end for the whole 90 minutes. Binfield thought they had take the lead in the 42nd minute when Lamin Ceesay headed home an Amiri Fashnau cross only for it to be ruled offside in a very close decision.

As the game went on, the game started to get scrappy as both teams became frustrated by the lack of goals. Another important point for the Moles as they look to increase their gap over the relegation zone.

Moles Manager Ross Weatherstone said “A point & a clean-sheet in the right direction, a draw was the fair result but I have to say, I thought Simons team were quality & my GK & defensive unit can take huge credit for their work today! Bring on Tues”

Next up is another 6-pointer as they travel to Horndean on Tuesday evening.
