After the postponement of Saturdays game against Horndean, the Moles are back in action against near neighbours Ascot United for a Velocity Cup tie.

Who are Ascot United FC?

Ascot United Football Club was founded in 1965 and joined the Senior Division of the Reading League in 2001. They won the league in 2006-07 and were promoted to Division One East of the Hellenic League. They made their debut in the FA Vase in the 2010-11 season and played in the FA Cup for the first time in the 2011-12 season.

In 2013-14, they won the Hellenic League Challenge Cup by defeating Ardley United 2-1. Ascot won the Challenge Cup again in the 2018-19 season and were transferred to the Premier Division of the Combined Counties League. They were placed in the Premier Division North of the league in 2021 and became Premier Division North champions in 2022-23, earning promotion to Step 4.

They also reached the final of the FA Vase which they won 1-0 defeating Newport Pagnell Town.

Last Time Out

In the third round of the Velocity Cup, the Moles beat Premier Division side Carshalton Athletic 3-0 whilst the Yellaman beat Egham Town 5-3.
