Binfield Lionesses U8’s – Win the Binfield Tournament !!!!!

All the teams had an enjoyable season, with the U12 Lionesses taking centre stage with an incredible season. The Lionesses not only winning Division 2 but winning in style by going unbeaten for the season. This is no mean achievement and they have now been re named by their Coaches and the Parents as the Binvincibles.

However, the U8’s were not far behind them. The girls only came together at the start of the season and to win the Binfield Girls Tournament was a tremendous finale to a great season for them.

Binfield FC Girls section continues to grow and the 2024-2025 season saw the club enter 5 teams into the Berkshire Girls County League. Alongside the existing U14’s. U12’s and U10’s we had a newly formed U8’s team and U12’s team.

Team Reviews

Binfield Lionesses U8s

The 2024/25 season marked a fantastic debut campaign for the newly formed Binfield Lionesses U8s – and what a year it’s been!

With all of the players new to competitive football and to each other, there was a lot to learn both on and off the pitch. But from the very first session, the girls showed brilliant enthusiasm, teamwork, and a real love for the game. As the season progressed, their confidence grew week by week, and so did their skills and understanding of the game.

One of the standout moments of the season came with a superb team performance at the Binfield Girls U8 Tournament – where the Lionesses were crowned champions! It was a fitting reward for their hard work, positive attitude, and great team spirit throughout the year.

But beyond the results and trophies, what made this season truly special was the togetherness and joy shown by the team. Whether it was training sessions in the rain, hard-fought matches, or cheering each other on from the sidelines, the girls supported one another and created a fun, encouraging environment that allowed them to thrive.

As they now look ahead to the move up to 7-a-side football next season, there’s so much to be excited about. With this year’s solid foundation, the team is in a great position to continue learning, developing their skills, and most importantly – enjoying the game.

A massive well done to every player – we’re all proud

Binfield Lionesses U10’s

Binfield’s Under 10 Flames kicked off their second season together with an impressive 6-3 win away from home. More goals followed, with one game seeing the girls and their opposition rack up NINE goals between them in the first half of the game!

It’s been a mixed bag season, with some convincing wins, some unlucky narrow defeats, a couple of rows with the woodwork, a stunning strike that wouldn’t look out of place in the WSL, and even an unexpected goal from a player who would never have raised her hand to play up front… The resilience shown in the face of tough opponents has paid off too, with goal differences narrowing in comparison to previous meetings.

What the girls should be particularly proud of (as the coaching team are) is the number of times that an opposition coach has approached us at the end of a match to say how much improvement they can see in the girls from games played against them last season. We go into our tournament schedule with confidence that we can improve on last year’s first taste of fast-paced competition.

As a team made up of a wide age range for their first 2 seasons, with many playing up a year, next season will see the older girls move up, and the younger girls stay as Under 10s for another season, this time named Binfield Foxes. This will give the younger players the chance to play against teams of the same age and, although they will be on different teams, we can safely say that the friendships will remain, and the girls will continue to support each other from across their age groups, in the true spirit of the Binfield FC Girls family.

Binfield Lionesses U12’s

This year, Binfield Lionesses roared louder than ever — going the entire league season unbeaten and earning their fierce new name: The Binvicibles

With untamed spirit running through every match, our girls played with courage, heart, and pride — showing that when they stand together, they’re stronger. Their dominance on the pitch was matched only by their unity off it.

  • League Champions – unbeaten all season – an incredible achievement.
  • Cup Semi-Finalists – battling with bravery and belief.
  • At the back was Sophie, Becca, Shaya, and Emily – the pride’s last line — fearless and focused.
  • In midfield, Sofia, Jessica, Lola, Bella, and Liv, controlling every battle — full of drive and creativity.
  • Forwards Edie and Flo led the charge with strength and unstoppable finishing.

Every single player brought something special — and together, they were more than a team. They were a pride. They lifted each other, celebrated every goal, every block, every pass. Just like their England Lioness heroes, they showed what it means to play with passion and play for each other.

This season will be remembered not just for the wins, but for the way they played: proud, powerful, and as one.

Here’s to the Binfield Lionesses — League Champions, cup semi-finalists and our very own Binvicibles.

Binfield Redhawks U12’s

The newly formed Redhawks have had a fun-filled season in Div 3. The girls have shown vast improvements in their skills and have bonded as a unit. We have seen power throw-ins, clever challenges, super saves, and a wonder goal at Wargrave in the last minute to win it. We finished the season in 6th place, holding our heads up high after some gritty draws, nevery wins, and the odd tough day at the office. The support from the parents has been strong throughout, and when combined with Christmas socials and summer tours, we have all made new friends.

The core of this group started together 3 years ago as the Lionesses. This time last year, we formed U12 Redhawks when we split by ability. We have seen such a growth in girls football at Binfield that this group of 8 girls 3 years ago has now grown into over 40 girls across three teams; 2xU13 teams and an U12 team – the Griffins. The growth in player numbers, the amount of our parents volunteering at the tournament, 60 of us on tour to the Isle of Wight and the amount of times the girls are at The Iconic, supporting the first team, means we should be proud of the growth of girls football at Binfield. #HawkNation

Binfield Lionesses U14’s

After winning Division 3 in 2023-2024, the 2024 – 2025 season was always going to be a big step up for the girls and so it proved.

The quality of football on show was fantastic to watch and the girls really had to learn quickly how to play at such a higher tempo than in previous years.

After xmas, the girls really did start to play some attractive football and this showed in the results with some outstanding goals to savour. This run secured the girls their place in Division 2 for 2025-2026.

Up the lionesses !
