The Hartley Wintney game marked a milestone for captain Dan Lewis as he played his 100th game for the Moles.
Signed in the summer of 2023 from Spelthorne Sports, he made his debut on the 12th August 2023 away at Ashford Town. It was a game that Dan would probably rather forget as Binfield lost 6-0. He scored his first goal (and only goal of the season) less than a week later in the FA Cup away against Wokingham Town. During what was to become our Great Escape season, Dan made 42 appearances – the most of any player and won Club Player Of The Year at the end of season awards.
Last season, Dan made 51 appearances and scored 3 goals as part of the team that ensured that the Moles entered their 5th season at step 4.
As we enter the new season, Dan is at the heart of the defence and leading the next generation of players as the team pushed on this season aiming to improve on the previous seasons.
