The Moles had a short journey down Forest Road for their first away trip of the season to play local rivals Ascot United. In their four previous meetings at step 4, the Yellaman had come out on top in all of them.
The Moles took the lead in the 30th minute when Ejiro Abbey after the ball had bounced around the box following a short corner. Like last Saturday, the lead didn’t last for long when Cheick Sylla equalised just 4 minutes later. Ascot then added another two before half-time with goals from Khalid Simmo and Luis Le Paih.
The second-half was scrappy with few chances for both teams and the games 3-1 to the home team. The Moles hope to turn their form around on Saturday when they travel to Marlow in the 1st qualifying round of the FA Cup.
