Moneyfields Fc

The Moles are back at the Iconic Stadium for the first visit of Moneyfields FC.

Matchday: Saturday 5th April 2025. KO: 3pm

Who are Moneyfields FC?

The club began as Portsmouth Civil Service in the Portsmouth Saturday League in 1987, achieving significant success early on. In 1990–91, they won the Portsmouth Senior Cup and the Saturday League Premier Division, earning promotion to Division Three of the Hampshire League. The club continued its impressive run by winning the Portsmouth Senior Cup, Hampshire Intermediate Cup, and Division Three title the following season, securing promotion to Division Two. In 1992–93, they won Division Two, earning a third successive promotion to Division One of the Hampshire League, and in 1994, the club was renamed Moneyfields.

The club’s success continued with the Division One championship in 1996–97 and subsequent promotion to the Wessex League. They became members of Division One when the league merged with the Hampshire League in 2004, with the division being renamed the Premier Division in 2005. Moneyfields won the Portsmouth Senior Cup in 2012–132 and were Premier Division runners-up in 2016–17, earning promotion to the Southern League. After fluctuating between divisions and winning multiple Portsmouth Senior Cups, the club voluntarily relegated to the Wessex League Premier Division in 2021. Their persistence paid off in the 2023–24 season when they won the Premier Division title, securing promotion to the Isthmian League’s South Central Division.

The team met back in mid January and Moneyfields were 5-0 winners. In their last game, the Moles lost 1-0 to Rayners Lane whilst Moneyfields beat Southall 3-0.
