The Binfield volunteers raising money for Cancer Research

A trio of Binfield volunteers are doing their bit to raise money for Cancer Research by taking part in a 100km walk from London to Brighton.

Caroline Reed, Denise Weait and Lisa Peters, who help run the car park and tea bar at Hill Farm Lane, will take part in the challenge on the 29th May and are hoping to raise £2,500.

The story on the trio’s JustGiving page says “Well, we decided after a few wines one evening (who us, who’d believe it??) to challenge our bodies and minds and take on an endurance challenge to walk 100 kilometres from London to Brighton over the weekend of 29/30th May 2021. As further incentive we want to raise as much money as we can for Cancer Research, as so many of us are affected by cancer, directly and indirectly, and one day we or a loved one could need their support and expertise.

“Please support us in our madcap endeavour and donate what you can. No amount is too small. We’ll post regular updates on our progress through training and the walk – and any locals if you see us around give us a toot!”
