It is a huge weekend for Binfield Football Club’s men’s first team who face a trip to Long Eaton United in the Quarter Finals of the Buildbase FA Vase – the furthest the club have ever gone in the competition.

The club will though join the social media boycott that is taking place across the football family and other sports over the Bank Holiday weekend.

A statement by the club said: “At Binfield FC, we believe that equality should always be emphasised in sport. As part of the Grassroots game and football community, the moles will be joining the 4-day boycott of social media platforms in an effort to tackle discrimination and abuse. We stand together.”

Moles supporters will still be able to stay up to date with what’s happening in Derbyshire however by joining the clubs new mailing list, and following the Live Blog that will be available on the homepage of this website.
